My Mud Initiation Ceremony

The night is warm and I have waited all day for the twilight to descend.

My two mud-mates have arrived and we set out our gear in the outhouse.

We strip off the clothes that we have been wearing all day and we put on our Century 4000 chest waders. They look and feel so good. A pair of long 20" rubber gauntlets follow, topped of by a close fitting pair of Dickies Deluxe orange coveralls.

Into the Quarry (fiction)

He panted. His run led him straight to the old gravel mill. He joged still down the winding path. Before him laid a grey limestone wasteland. Now it was a place for refil with waste from construction sites, most of the time clay from excavations or debris from demolition sites. He took his bottle of isofreshness and took a deep sip. Then he unfastened his backpacker and threw it behind a stone. He stood there taking severall deep breaths, just to get a little less exhausted. As he looked around he noticed several wet depressions around a massive lakelike body of water.
